The Face That Protects…

Louvre Musuem, Paris
Sassine El Nabbout Photography

Smiling… he cannot do it with a wooden face!
Crying… maybe it is possible because his eyes are still open to air… but crying is shame and he will never do it…
If they know his real face, no one will love him… that’s what he thinks…
He put it on just to protect himself, but from what?
From their wooden faces or from what they could say about him?
And if they do so! What will happen?
When will he understand that the ones who are intending to talk, have the same face, and all what they do is letting him feel shame from his life… but why? Just to make him busy so he will not see their eyes, which are full of fear and lies…
Don’t be so surprised if he doesn’t trust you… he will never do it… because the one who is behind a mask will think the mask is yours… yes! Complete denial…
I cannot understand really how he lives… He don’t face off until he go to bed, but hugs it all the night… and unfortunately waits awake till the morning to put it again…
Don’t cry… he don’t know what you are feeling… don’t you know the equation: face on, heart off…
