The Best Lebanese Vegetables

The Best Lebanese Vegetables Dishes

When we were kids we used to pick the main vegetables from our backyard or from our cousins' gardens... we also learnt to choose the best ones, by that I mean the most fresh... but mainly the season's products...
Nowadays no one in our village is planting anymore, and our only source is the markets... we kept our talent by choosing the most good looking and somewhat fresh... but there is no more seasons... we don't know the origin and how these plants were feed, kept alive or made hyperproductive... Chemicals? Sewage? Pesticides? Insecticides? Radiation?
It is absolutely right that many cancers went undiagnosed in the past centuries, but no one can deny the burst of cancers this century...
I'm moving back to my garden... planting and eating... I know that the quantity is not enough, and the atmosphere is indeed polluted, the rain not pure anymore... but I believe that the taste is different... try it and you will see...

Lebanon

W Durant “A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within".

In the past, communities protected themselves by closing their doors and windows… now no one can do it… the world is reforming… a complete and unopposed process is invading the earth…
Communities are being collected and united… so there is no more place for small countries or small groups in the future…
Even more, every small community has to fuse in the biggest ones or she will die… and fusion is death in any way!
The search for an identity is no more a question… the one who didn’t decide his identity yet is too much late…
Actually, the big ones are booking their tickets to get inside the new ship…
While us, the Lebanese are talking about division… and we are divided…
Our politicians are rising a paper (we put in their hands by error or by chance or by being completely dumb) that they think it is a ticket… and it is not a black market because everyone knows to whom they want to sell it…
The strange issue is that no one wants to buy, but everyone wants to play with… maybe because the big ones are seeing the paper in the hand of a Lebanese politician filled with: choose me please… and in the hand of his opponent: No, don’t choose him, choose me please…

When you hear this, you can smile or just cry when you see how we are or what we do to reserve a parliamentary place…
While we have to prepare ourselves for the bad news, because the decision that everyone talks about is already taken… the place of Lebanon in the new world is…

Look & Imagine

Ehden, Lebanon

Look at the sky and see the stars...
Look at the earth and see the clouds...
The cross is just a link between them...`
Just look and imagine...
